Tsawa Khangtsen occupies prominent place in the religious history of Sera Jey Dratsang. Sera Theckchen Ling was established as per visionary instruction given by Jamgon Lama Tsongkhapa Rinpoche in the year 1407.
The Sera Jhe Health Care Committee was first established in 1989 by then Khen Rinpoche Lobsang Tsering with generous financial contribution of Rs.50, 000.00 received from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. The committee was registered as a Charitable Trust on 17th September 1990 with the office of the Commissioner of Income Tax, Karnataka.
Tara Arts is involved in producing pure quality Tibetan Thankas (scroll paintings) with genuine traditional style and touch. It also forms a learning place of thanka painting skills for newcomers. Thankas represent the true essence of art which depicts the pictorial form of gods, goddesses, mandalas, and other structures of great religious significance.
